How it works

Regent Auctions Brisbane runs timed online auctions of lab-grown diamonds, natural gemstones, and gold and silver jewellery. Each lot has its own closing time, listed on the lot page.

Bidding

Create a free buyer account, find a lot and enter your bid. The minimum bid is the current price plus the bid increment, shown on the lot. If someone bids in the final 2 minutes, the lot's close moves back by 2 minutes so every bidder has a chance to respond.

A lot with a reserve only sells if the bidding reaches that reserve. The lot page shows whether the reserve has been met, without revealing the amount.

What you pay

The winning bid is called the hammer price. A buyer's premium of 15% is added, plus 10% GST on the premium. The lot page shows your total before you bid.

Selling with Regent

Register a seller account, upload your photos in bulk and add details by spreadsheet. We review and approve each lot before it goes live. Register as a seller.

Certificates and condition

Where a stone has been graded, the lot lists the laboratory and report number. Lab-grown stones are always described as lab-grown, with the growth method where known. Treatments are disclosed on the lot.
